Welcome to Dorent Guidebook!

Your club has selected to use Dorent for two main reasons:

1. To improve retention
2. To attract highly potential new customers

You have an important role for achiving these goals. The purpose of this guide is to help you to start using Dorent and improve your club’s customer satisfaction. You surely have lots of questions about Dorent and how it changes things at your club and we try to address them all in this guidebook.

What is Dorent?

Dorent is a marketplace, where your club’s members can leave their membership for rent. Your member creates a rental offer, where he defines the service to be rented, duration and price. He can publish it in Dorent’s marketplace where anyone can find and buy it. Alternatively, he can choose to create a private offer, which can only be purchased by selected persons.

The renting is always done based on your club’s own renting rules and all the payments will stay in your club.

Who can use Dorent?

Creating offers is only allowed to users that are in a white list imported in Dorent. Your club can create the list and define the persons and services that can be rented in Dorent. In case a user is not in the white list, he is not able to leave an doofer

The offer can be purchased by anyone who has a credit card. Your club can create rental rules for the buyer also. For example, you might want to restrict the age of the persons allowd in your club, or perhaps restricting the amount of time a same person can buy a rental offer.

What is it in for the member?

Your member will receive a giftcard from the offer that gets rented. The amount of the giftcard depends on the asking price of the offer. The giftcard can be used in services defined by your club in the rental rules. Usually the giftcard is used in membership fees, but it is also a great source for cross-selling your services.

Does this affect our current billing processes?

There is no change in your current billing processes. The billing continues normally.

Your member might decide to use his giftcard in his membership fee, thus this should be handled accordingly.

What about the users’ access rights?

Dorent does not automatically do anything to your members access rights. Every rental that is made, will be sent to pre-defined email addresses for further processing. In general, a person who purchased an offer should get access right to your services and your member’s access rights should be frozen for the rental duration.

The buyer will turn up to you frontdesk when the rental period is about to start. This should give you some time to prepare the access rights beforehand. You are able to confirm the buyers right to receive the access rights from Dorent. The user shows either his Dorent confirmation code or his personal id, which can be checked again from Dorent’s service desk user interface..

How will the users find about Dorent?

The users will know about Dorent when they are told about it. Your club should market Dorent in social media, at the sales meetings, service desk and on your club’s web -pages. The main source to Dorent is from your social media channels and your web -pages.

What kind of volumes can we expect?

The usage volumes depend highly on the level of rental awareness at your club. The better you share the message, the more volume there will be and your retention improves. The potential is up to 50% of your current memberships, which would mean more than 500 rental transactions per year for a club of 1000 members. This would then mean more than 500 wlak-in customers and up to 130 cancellation preventions per year.

Does this mean more work for me?

The Dorent marketplace is fully automated and it does not require any work from you. The main tasks for maintaining Dorent are:

  1. Serving walk-in customers and giving them access rights
  2. Helping your members redeem their giftcards
  3. Managing member’s access rights
  4. Updating whitelist on monthly basis
